In 1974, the Museum of Fine Arts of Vanadzor was founded. It is the only fine arts museum of the region. The museum occupies a three-story crescent-shaped building with an area of more than 1,800 square meters. In 2004, the building was included in the list of historical and cultural monuments of Armenia.

The museum collection has more than 2,000 works of art, most of which date back to the 60s-80s of the 20th century. Paintings, graphic works, sculpture, decorative-applied art samples are stored here.

Several thematic halls are distinguished, which are connected with each other or continue one another. You can see the works of the older generation as well as the works of young creators. The building has three floors, where sculpture and graphics are displayed on separate floors.

235 museum pieces are presented in the museum's permanent exhibition. In September-October, the museum organizes the annual exhibition of Lori artists.
